right now I know it doesn’t seem like it and I know it might be hard to believe, but you are lovely. you are lovely in the ways that you don’t notice… in the way your eyes sparkle when you sing along to the car radio as your hair dances around your face, in the way you take time to listen and notice the things around you, the way you quietly light up a room simply by being in it. hold onto that magic because the image of perfection you’re striving for pales in comparison to the joy your hold within your heart. someday, I promise, someone will see that sparkle and protect it. right now I know it doesn’t seem like it and I know it might be hard to believe, but one day you will meet someone who cherishes you. one day God will intersect you with a man who sees all the beauty you hold, who will make every day an adventure and every night a dream, who’s pursuit of you will reflect the true worth you hold. wait for him, stop believing that you are nothing, because you are extraordinary. you are fearfully and wonderfully made, there is infinite wonder within you, breathe in the fullness of life that is waiting for you. you are redeemed from heartache, you are free from comparison, you are alive in all that is excellent. you have been given grace upon grace in order that you might experience the sweetness of a Love that heals, restores and sustains. dear sweet girl, put off yesterday, put off hurt, put off rejection, put off unworthy, leave it at the cross where it is finished. dear sweet girl that you are worthy, declare that you are enough, declare that you are loved and let those truths open your eyes to how incredible you truly are, regardless of what you’ve believed for so long now. this is the start of something new.
