Living a light filled life

((let no one look down on you because you are young, but instead lead by example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.)) 1 TIMOTHY 4:12

what a life lived by example when you are young truly mean? does it mean you shut yourself down, lock yourself away for safe keeping and become so scared of being hurt by this world that you cease to be a light in it? I don’t believe so, to lead by example you have to get into the brokenness, you have to dive into the darkness, and not by your own strength, but by His strength actively working in and through you, overcome darkness with glorious light. light from a life intentionally lived to give Him ultimate glory. a life that is constantly surrendered, constantly given back, constantly devoted. In all areas, in conduct, speech, love, faith, purity. God, let me live those things out. Let me continue, no matter what the circumstance to shine brilliantly for Your glory, a city on a hill. my prayer is that others witness that infallible joy, infallible peace and that as they feel these things grow in their own hearts that they yearn to seek you, to know you, to fall in love with you. i pray that they do, i pray that they fall in love with all that You are.
