in any given moment infinite miracles happen, visible and invisible, the beating of a new heart and the unseen answer to a silent prayer. on any given day we are existing in an improbable possibility, everything we are, everything we intersect and interact with is just the same - fantastically impossible. there are answers to why I am, why the ocean is vast, mysterious and violently beautiful, why the sky gracefully opens up every morning and passionately burns out each night, why fish can explore the depths and birds the heights, why blooms are intricately unique and vibrant, why rivers gently twist their way through solid ground, welcomed and understood, why clouds wisp into peculiar patterns that make us dream and why stars twinkle brightly in darkness giving us hope. there are many answers to all of these infinite miracles, some scientific, some logical, some philosophical, but I believe it can be simplified and credited to one answer alone, love extraordinary.
love extraordinary is the relentless, detailed, unending pursuit that is evident in every single moment - past, present and future. love extraordinary is the miracles that we take for granted and the miracles we are awestruck by. love extraordinary is in the good and the bad, the joy and the sorrow. love extraordinary can not be undone, out run or exhausted. love extraordinary is waiting to be experienced in full, to change hearts and to bring life into motion. it is in the here and now. there are many answers as to why the world we know is possible despite the blatant improbability of the days we exist in. there are many answers to the hows and whys but beyond the scrutinized bits of it all there is an underlying impossibility that is the wonderful mystery of it all. why do I love, why do I dream, why do I need other people, why do I feel delightfully small when I experience glory, why do I feel free when I am vulnerable and trapped when I’m hiding, there are many answers to all of these questions but I believe that all that I am, and all that we are can be given back and understood to be the mark of love extraordinary. this lavishing, bewildering, wild love that doesn’t make sense and isn’t ever deserved. this love that lights up the skies and hearts just the same. this love that is offered in everything, this love that is the answer and the reason, a love beyond all that we are or can ever be, this love extraordinary. // amen
