vibrant, colorful, fulfilled

when we see people who are living out big lives, who seem to see differently, who love so radically, and live every day fully, something inside of us longs for the joy we watch in their sparkling eyes. something inside of us cries out, it craves the fulfillment they have, it is in agony without it, without our true purpose, without our God given assignment, but how do we get to where they are? how do we capture that sparkle and have it for our own? there is no twelve step program to that place of unspeakable, untouchable brightness. there is no school, no job, no relationship that I can tell you will get you there, and even if there was, how could a uniform mold fit your life? you who were formed uniquely by the hands of the Creator. it could never fit you and the live that you have been given. a life as unique as your fingerprint. every moment, every day, every year you live is part of that, it is part of who you have become, who you are becoming and who God has intended for you to be. but, if there is one secret i have learned through my own experiences, through the testimonies of others, and through simply living life…those people who are living out big lives, who seem to see differently, who love so radically, and live every day fully are not living for themselves. they are surrendered. at some point in every one of their stories you see a point where there was exhaustion, there was unhappiness and there seemed to be no good way out or through, and then, there was a breakthrough. God does incredible things through surrendered people, people who are done striving, done planning, done working in vain, people who have it all laid out of the table. when we are on our knees, when we have given it all up, when we are no longer trying to gain, we gain it all. dreams begin to jump to life, talents are remembered and leveraged, things that never made sense begin to fall into place. people are introduced and places are discovered that make something in your heart sigh and say, ‘this is home, this is what you’ve always been looking for, here it is, here you are, here is unconditional love, here is peace that surpasses understanding, here is abounding joy, here I am.’ so if you want to be someone who is living out a big life, someone who sees differently, loves radically, and lives every day fully, surrender. live in God’s heartbeat for you, His good and wonderful will. live focused on Jesus, His love and His sweet beckoning. live a vibrant, colorful, fulfilled live. live alive. live surrendered, and then life will come.
